Mission and Purpose
Our mission is to form a community of instructional designers who will collaborate toward developing a shared knowledge around instructional design (academic and administrative) and its application at UC Berkeley. We will keep an open, ongoing dialog to support each other in solving instructional design problems and challenges we face in our individual departments.
Goals
- Provide support, share best practices, and inform each other of opportunities, resources, and models within the instructional design field.
- Promote consideration of diversity, equity, and inclusion principles through both the study and practice of instructional design.
- Encourage a sense of belonging among our community members and offering a safe place to try out/explore new tools and techniques.
- Provide a social network for those professionals at UCB who are interested in instructional design
Membership
UC Berkeley Instructional Designers is open to any UC Berkeley staff member with an interest in instructional design.
